Hello friends! My name is SK (short for Sophia Katherine), and I am so excited to see you in my chair and get to know all of your beautiful, smiling faces!! I am a lifelong Connecticut native from East Lyme; needless to say, I’m a beach girl!!! I fell in love with the cosmetic world at an early age, giving myself my first-ever haircut at the age of three. As I grew, I started to realize how much I love to create, whether it was with a paintbrush or a makeup brush. I was a devoted dancer from the time that I could walk until I was a teenager, and stage makeup was my best friend. I used my knowledge of stage makeup to start experimenting with different techniques and styles of makeup, which led me to discovering a love for hair as well. I started coloring my own hair at sixteen, and I have done every color in the rainbow at one point or another. I decided that I could intertwine my love for creativity with my love for making people smile and become a Cosmetologist. I attended school at TIGI Hairdressing Academy in Guilford, CT. At the end of the day, my main goal is to make people feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin.
